Book Details

The Inkworld Series by Cornelia Funke comprises four novels: "Inkheart," "Inkspell," "Inkdeath," and "The Color of Revenge." The series follows Meggie, a young girl who discovers that her father, Mo, has the ability to bring characters from books to life by reading aloud. In "Inkheart," this power leads to the villain Capricorn entering their world, setting off a series of adventures. "Inkspell" continues the story as characters from the first book are transported into the fictional Inkworld, where they face new challenges. "Inkdeath" concludes the trilogy with Meggie and Mo striving to rewrite the wrongs of the past and make a dangerous pact with death. "The Color of Revenge," the fourth installment, takes place five years after "Inkdeath." Meggie, Mo, and their companions lead peaceful lives until the antagonist Orpheus seeks revenge by creating bewitched portraits that threaten their existence. The group must unite to confront this new peril and protect their world.
