Description

In the 1850s, a fourteen-year-old boy from Tennessee, known only as "the Kid," flees his violent home life and heads westward. He joins a group of American filibusters led by Captain White, aiming to reclaim Mexican territories for the U.S. Their expedition is swiftly decimated by Comanche Indians, leaving the Kid among the few survivors. Captured by Mexican soldiers, he is imprisoned in Chihuahua City, where he meets Toadvine and Sproule. The trio is released to join a gang of scalp hunters led by Captain John Joel Glanton, who is accompanied by the enigmatic Judge Holden. The gang's mission to hunt Apache raiders soon escalates into indiscriminate massacres of Native Americans and Mexican civilians for profit. As the Kid becomes entangled in this brutal world, he confronts the pervasive violence and moral decay that define the American frontier.
